The Psiche brand is my favorite which comes in black, white or ivory.  They are stay up stockings with 10cm of a luxury lace band around the top of the legs. For a Garter then check out the Fortuna garter which comes in white or blue. Remember something borrowed, something blue!. Wedding day - After you have bought your wedding dress then you need to decide on what bridal lingerie you need. A corset or bra is not needed if there is one already built into the dress. Tradition states that you have to have a garter and you need to decide whether you will be wearing stocking and suspenders or going bare  leg.  Colors should also blend with your dress so no outrageous pinks if you have a white dress.

Wedding night – This is very special as it will be the first night together as husband and wife. You need something sexy and enticing to excite your man. If you decide to go for a provocative corset then don’t forget to buy a sexy baby doll as well because sleeping in a corset is really uncomfortable. The simple fact is that your lingerie should be chosen after you have bought your dress, not before and not at the same time either.

Instead of limiting yourself to one piece be open to all the other lingerie alternatives on offer. A corset may not necessary be the right look for you, a body shaper will provide more of an effect. A lot of dresses will already have the corset and bra already built into it however if not then be careful to consider the right bra  and more importantly one that fits.

I also strongly recommend wearing the bridal lingerie for a trial run before hand. I bought a strapless bra for my wedding dress and more or less spent the whole day trying to keep it up. Other bras such as the stick on adhesive bras can loosen with sweat, so as you can see a trial run is essential.

They do of course cater for plus size lingerie for all occasions and are receiving raving reviews. Twitter and face book  have seen them join up as well as launching their own blog.

I headed over to their website to inspect their Bridal lingerie for the plus size woman and have to say I was quite impressed. Nightgowns, teddys, chemises and corsets were all there and the quality seems quite good. I would like to see a bit more originality with the photos as they did not seem very wedding like however product descriptions are good as is the ease of use of the website. Personally myself I like the traditional white for Bridal lingerie however  Turquoise is said to remind us of tropical sands and waters which Pantone say so many people want to think of on their wedding day! OK  for your honeymoon  I suppose but it is still not tempting me away from the virginal white of the traditional bridal lingerie.

Pantone add that Turquoise is meant to be a colour of compassion and healing. I really don’t know what compassion and healing has to do with your wedding day but hey everyone to their own.  I prefer to think of love, commitment and fun on my wedding day and if I was such a follower of  bridal lingerie fashion then the furthest I would go would be to wear a turquoise garter.  If Turquoise is tempting to you though then there is a wide range of lingerie that will suit your needs and wants, just make sure that the color goes with the rest of your theme.
